Fleet Tracking

Direct Vision Standard
What is happening?
Vision Zero aims to eliminate all road deaths and serious injuries by 2041. The aim is to ensure the street environment incorporates safe speeds, behaviours, street design and vehicles to target road danger at its core. To achieve this, a Direct Vision Standard (DVS) and a safety permit for all vehicles over 12 tonnes will need to be issued.
Who will require a permit?
Vehicles over 12 tonnes gross vehicle weight (GVW) will require a heavy goods vehicle (HGV) safety permit to be able to operate within Greater London starting from October 2020. They will be issued from October 2019 and will be enforced from 26 October 2020.
BLIND SPOT CAMERAS
A fully operational camera monitoring system shall be fitted to the nearside of the vehicle. We supply and fit Motormax AHD quality Side Cameras and Mirror Monitors available as quad or single screens, fully compatible with Motormax DVR systems.
Warning signage must be displayed at the rear of the vehicle, as opposed to instructional signage.
BRAKE LIGHT REVERSING CAMERAS
Designed to replace the existing brake light unit, these reversing cameras look entirely factory fitted and continue to operate as a brake light with camera functionality.

HIGH-SECURITY HOOK LOCK
The Hook Lock is a mechanical deadlock operating independently from the manufacturers’ locking system. A deadlocking hook bolt engages into its opposing body section. Operated by its high-security external key under full control of the driver. Suitable for owner-drivers or applications where the driver can be relied upon to operate the lock. We recommend our Hook Lock is fitted to both the side and rear door.
HIGH-SECURITY DEADLOCKS
The Deadlock is a mechanical deadlock operating independently from the manufacturers’ locking system. It is very similar to the Hook Lock however this lock engages a ‘straight bolt’ (20mm-50mm) into its opposing body section. Operated by its high-security external key under full control of the driver. Suitable for owner-drivers or applications where the driver can be relied upon to operate the lock. The Deadlock is recommended for use on the vehicles cab doors. We may suggest this as an alternative to an Hook Lock where necessary.
HIGH-SECURITY SLAM LOCKS
The Slamlock is primarily designed for couriers, multi-drop delivery drivers and any operations where a driver may be regularly in and out of a loading area throughout the day. The Slamlock safeguards against the driver forgetting to lock the doors. Once the door is shut it locks automatically and can only be opened using the Slamlock key, reducing the chances of theft.
HIGH-SECURITY STATEMENT LOCK
The Statement Lock mounts externally to the doors of the vehicle, bracing them together while providing an effective visual deterrent. When fitted higher in the door it helps to reduce the risk of the door being bent down. As a deadlock working independently from the manufacturers’ locking system, it offers flexibility to the operator of the vehicle allowing them to use this extra security when required.
HIGH-SECURITY ANTI-PEEL KIT
Our Anti-Peel Kits have been developed to reduce the risk of the common ‘peel and steal’ type of attack. Designed to reduce door peeling, this solution is fitted to the front edge of the vehicle’s side load door. We recommend using this product in conjunction with an L4V Hook Lock in the high position of the rear end of the same side load door.
